Welcome to those of you who don’t know me or are new to my corner of the book world!

I’m Scarlet St. James, a survival romance and adventure author by day, and at night, I write after-dark romance when the lights are out and I only have the glow of my screen. I love grit, steamy slow-burn, and sexual tension so thick you can barely stand it. 

This pen name allows me to get extra gritty, super spicy - but all with the epic world and character building I love.

I wrote my first New Adult manuscript in high school (before New Adult was a genre) and I’ve been writing epic romance ever since. That story is now published as Whatever It Takes in my Saratoga Falls series, an angsty new adult story about four best friends.

I’m a sucker for enemies-to-lovers (mortal enemies, even better!) and I like to read and write romance that is raw and guts me in the best way possible.

What is your favorite romance genre? 

The Darkborn Saga is my first paranormal series, and while you can currently read the Darkborn Origins, book one releases April 2026. I cannot wait!
